Funding and Philanthropy

Our Funding and Philanthropy foundation will focus on optimizing our ministry and non-ministry revenues, and enhancing philanthropy contributions to the hospital's strategy in the following areas:

Increase revenues to support the hospital

  • Continue to increase our patient revenue streams through closer collaboration of clinical program and support department leaders.

Optimize funding while enhancing patient-centred care

  • Continue to monitor and optimize Health System Funding Reform (HSFR) potential with oversight from HSFR Steering Committee, through Quality-Based Procedures working groups, enhancement of data quality processes and analytical tools, and advocacy with our funders.
  • Continue to improve quality of clinical documentation, coding, and reporting.

Foster philanthropy to support capital requirements

  • Focus on raising funds for non-ministry funded capital projects through North York General Foundation.

Phillips House Redevelopment Project allows North York General Hospital to fully live out its core value of putting patients first in everything we do by creating a therapeutic environment tailored to meet the mental health needs of our patients and their families. As a fully donor funded project, North York General Foundation is committing philanthropic investment to transform this facility and reimagine how outpatient children and family mental health care is provided.
