Holiday message from the President and CEO

Dr. Joshua Tepper, President and CEO, North York General HospitalAs the holiday season and New Year approaches, it is a natural time to take stock of 2018's highlights and take pride in our excellent care.

As I close out my first month as the hospital's new President and CEO, I remain impressed every day by the tremendous skill, passion and compassion of our staff, physicians, volunteers and learners. I am also grateful for the strong work of the North York General Foundation and to the many people in our community who give generously to help us provide care and fulfill our academic mission of teaching, research and innovation.

This year was particularly significant for North York General Hospital and our community as we marked our 50th anniversary by honouring our proud history of providing care to this community. If you have not had a chance, I encourage you to read the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book, which charts our hospital's remarkable half-century journey.

Our hospital's 50th anniversary is a perfect example demonstrating that tomorrow's foundation is laid on the actions we take today. This is why we will continue to invest in integrated patient-centred care, excellent talent, technology, learning and infrastructure to make the future of health care at North York General as bright as possible.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best during this holiday season with much health and happiness in the year ahead.

Joshua Tepper
President and CEO
