Medical Imaging and Cardio-Respiratory Services

The vast majority of patients treated at North York General Hospital in north central Toronto rely on the comprehensive range of imaging services we offer to ensure an accurate diagnosis as well as the most appropriate course of treatment. The hospital's team of health care professionals and support staff offer a wide variety of medical imaging and cardio-respiratory services at the General site (4001 Leslie Street) and mammography (OBSP), ultrasound and bone mineral densitometry (BMD) at the Outpatient & Community Services Centre (2 Champagne Drive - Unit E7).

The patient experience

Our radiologists diagnose and help treat patients with a diverse range of conditions through interventional techniques that are less invasive, and less painful than standard surgical treatment choices. Using advanced technologies, radiologists can assess patients' conditions more quickly and efficiently.

The Gulshan & Pyarali G. Nanji Family Foundation Centre for Medical Imaging encompasses superbly designed and digitally equipped imaging suites. These facilities, leading-edge technology and the expertise of our team help shorten wait times for patients.

Innovation is one of the hallmarks of Medical Imaging and Cardio-Respiratory Services. North York General Hospital has a strong history of innovative use of advanced technologies, including 3-D imaging and PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System).

Our entire team supports the concept of continuous life long learning, staying informed on advances in new technology and practising the latest imaging techniques.
