Stepping Stones Teacher Development Program: NYGH scholarships

The Stepping Stones Teacher Development Program is an accredited program designed to assist teachers with their educational and teaching roles. The program is offered through the Centre for Faculty Development at the University of Toronto. As part of the two-year program, participants will engage in a series of workshops both at the centre and at North York General Hospital (NYGH), and participate in a structured journal club.

North York General has supported a total of 36 staff and physicians to participate in the Stepping Stones Program to enhance our teaching programs and to continue to strive for teaching excellence.

The following five North York General staff and physicians are the recipients of an NYGH scholarship to support their participation in this program starting September 2016:

  • Gordon Soon, Physician, Child and Teen Program
  • Chantel Brammer, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness
