North York General Hospital is deeply saddened by the recent death of Gordon F. Cheesbrough, who just completed a five-year term as Chair of the hospital’s Board of Governors.
Mr. Cheesbrough was first appointed to North York General Hospital’s Board of Governors in June 2000. He was elected Treasurer in June 2001 and served in that capacity until his appointment as Chair in 2005. Most recently, he had joined the Board of Governors for the hospital’s Foundation.
In these roles he provided incredible vision and leadership to our hospital, in service to our community. His commitment and unwavering devotion to North York General Hospital was an inspiration to us all. His focus on balancing the hospital’s financial health with the quality care we provide, led North York General Hospital to many great successes.
Our thoughts are with his entire family during this most difficult time. He will be dearly missed by all.
