About Us
Our Strategy
A priority at North York General Hospital is ensuring our strategy
— that identifies the direction we are moving towards — is
part of an ongoing dynamic process that evolves to keep pace with our
changing environment.
Factors such as population growth, a higher number of seniors in the
area we serve, and financial constraints help determine the kinds of
services we should or can provide in order to match what is needed in
the community.
In December 2009, the North York General Hospital Board of Governors
approved an updated strategy that clearly indicates where we are going
for the next 3-5 years.
Our strategy has three strategic themes, that is, specific areas we
are focusing our attention on:

Each theme includes specific objectives, tactics, performance targets
and initiatives that help us measure how we’re improving and where we
need to do more work to provide even better care.
