Three Cheers for Orthopaedic Health!
"Hip Hip Hooray" -- Sunday May 27, 2007

Dr. Ted Rumble, Chair, Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation Board of Governors, Angelique Berg, Executive Director, Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation, and Charles Beall, Chair, North York General Hospital Foundation Board of Governors.

The 17th annual Hip Hip Hooray was held last year at St. John's Rehab Hospital and was once again, a tremendous success! The 2007 event raised a grand total of $19,722 for orthopaedic health and research here at North York General Hospital, and over the past 5 years this unique event has raised more than $127,000 for our orthopaedics program, including the Gulshan and Pyarali G. Nanji Orthopaedic and Plastics Centre!

Rather than your typical 10-kilometre run, Hip Hip Hooray is a short 1km walk for patients, their families, orthopaedic caregivers, and anyone who wants to support orthopaedic research and care.

It is a nation-wide walk with 30 sites who participate annually from coast-to-coast, raising money for the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation and their local hospitals, all while celebrating the independence orthopaedic surgery brings.
