Special Events Heart of Fashion: November 2003 Presented by Bayview Village Shopping Centre, this one-of-a kind event was held on Sunday, November 23, 2003 and was a huge success! Through the hard work of our volunteer planning committee, our sponsors and staff, we successfully raised over $120,000 for breast cancer services in the hospital. Specifically, these funds will buy three pieces of vital medical equipment associated with breast cancer. Many of the retailers within Bayview Village offered discounted prices for the evening that allowed our guests to shop 'til they drop! Guests also enjoyed complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, a huge silent auction, the IODE miniature Christmas tree display and entertainment by the Toronto Philharmonia. Back for another year was the ever popular redesigned NYGH lab coat event that saw lab coats redesigned by The Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Team, Oscar Peterson, The Barenaked Ladies, Wayne Gretzky and many others.
