The 15th Annual North York Masters Golf Tournament - June 6, 2005

We certainly scored a hole-in-one this time! The North York Masters Golf Tournament held at the beautiful Donalda Club golf course raised over $220,000 for cancer and palliative care services. An outstanding time was had by all.

We would like to thank our many sponsors who supported this event, particularly our Presenting Sponsors:

Colliers International, Falls Management and Shoppers Drug Mart

We were graced by a beautiful day. Golfers were met in the parking lot and given a copy of the National Post newspaper (our media sponsor) and their welcoming gift of a 24-piece BBQ set. After registering they were invited to play a hand of black jack to win a weekend for four at Fallsview Casino. A BBQ lunch was served on the patio where golfers could meet the other team members. By 1:00 p.m. they were teeing off as the shot gun sounded!

Contests and events that took place on the course included: Closest to the National Post Box, Beat the Pro, Longest Drive (male/female), 3 holes-in-one and Beat the CFL Player.

Golfers came off the course and were treated to a Cocktail Reception and entertained by the sounds of the York New Jazz Trio and served complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a variety of cocktails compliments of Bacardi Canada.

Finally, everyone enjoyed the culinary delights of the Donalda Club's extraordinary chef during a sit-down dinner and awards ceremony. Prizes were presented to contest winners and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

A perfect day on a perfect course - it doesn't get better! Join us next year and find out for yourself.

"This golf tournament is truly a wonderful event. CCL has supported this golf fundraiser since its inception and I continue to find it to be a great day to share with business associates. The tournament offers a unique and historical golf course followed by a fine dinner and awards banquet in a classical setting. The Masters is a great way to entertain our important business colleagues and to support a most worthwhile charity in our community"
     Steve Lancaster, CCL Industries

"The Masters is a great event with great people at one of Toronto's best golf courses. We've attended for years and our team has June 6, 2005 already blocked off"
