Community Events (Third Party Events) As we embrace the health of our community, the support and involvement of individuals and organizations is critical to help us achieve our mission. A fundraising event held by our friends in the community is called a Community or Third Party Event. Community events give the organization conducting the event the opportunity to embrace the health of our community by supporting North York General Hospital. No event is too small or too big. Let your imagination run wild. Community events range from one time to annual events: lemonade or car wash stands in the summer school dance-a-thons and bake sales dinner parties fashion shows barbeques golf and tennis tournaments church bingo walk or bike-a-thons Many organizers of these events are one time patients who want to give back to their community for the great care they received. Others are concerned citizens who want to ensure that outstanding health care will be available to them and their family when they need it most. Every event makes a big difference, enabling North York General Hospital to advance health care in meaningful ways, while always keeping our focus on the well being of our paitents and their families. Is there a particular area or service of the Hospital of interest to you or your group? You may designate the funds of your event to go directly to your area of interest if you like. In some circumstances, we may even be able to arrange a tour of the area in the Hospital for your event committee.
