Dunbar Russel Appointed Chair of the North York General Hospital Board of Governors at Annual General Meeting

Mr. Russel was first appointed to the Board of Governors in June 2003. He was elected Secretary in 2007 and Vice Chair & Secretary in 2009. Over the past 7 years, he has chaired key committees of the Board including the Quality and the Governance Committees. Read full biography.

Dr. Nicholas Pairaudeau Receives Award of Excellence

Dr. Nicholas Pairaudeau has received the Award of Excellence for the Ontario Region from the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC). The award was presented June 5 during the society’s 66th Annual Clinical Meeting in Montréal.

Dr. Pairaudeau, an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at North York General Hospital since 1976, was recognized for his contributions to continuing medical education. He has taught courses in China and hosted physicians and administrators from China at our hospital.

Gordon F. Cheesbrough Passes Away June 23

North York General Hospital is deeply saddened by the recent death of Gordon F. Cheesbrough, who just completed a five-year term as Chair of the hospital’s Board of Governors. more
