Our mission at the Seniors' Health Centre (long-term care home and specialized geriatric services) is serving the whole person, physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually while providing physical health care services.
  • We believe that all residents and clients should be regarded as unique individuals, each with a personal worth.
  • We believe in the development of common strengths and the respect for individual strengths and differences.
  • We believe in the promotion of a multidisciplinary team effort to care for our residents and clients.
  • We support each resident's right to self-determination while striving to meet his/her needs so that optimum levels of wellness and independence are maintained.
  • We strongly encourage families and friends to participate in care planning while respecting the residents' lifestyle preferences.
  • We promote a consultative approach to palliative care and believe all residents, clients and families benefit from this supportive approach.
  • We believe that each person has the right to pursue the religious, cultural practices and interests of their choice. We strive to meet these needs through the activities we offer. We invite volunteers from cultural and religious communities to assist in linking residents to the traditions and customs of their heritage.
