Long-Term Care Home The Seniors' Health Centre long-term care home has two parallel goals: to meet the health care needs of residents, while enhancing their quality of life, sense of harmony, happiness and comfort. Seniors' Health Centre home is a fully accredited and licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The Seniors' Health Centre houses a 192-bed multi-level care home that is seen as a model for seniors' care. We also have short stay beds that can be used when caregivers at home need a break. Our facility has been designed with the special needs and interests of our residents in mind:
The Seniors' Health Centre activation staff plans a wide variety of individual and group programs for our residents that foster mental and recreational stimulation and social interaction. These include periodic outings to community events. Many community groups also come to the home, hosting special programs at the Centre. Our caring staff helps residents develop a strong sense of dignity, independence, and well-being. Continually Improving Seniors' Quality of Life In 2005, we completed construction of a new dining room and lounges on the first floor of the Seniors' Health Centre. We also renovated the dining rooms and kitchen on the second home area. All residents now benefit from the convenience of having an intimate dining room on their home area. After their meal, they can assemble and meet in small groups, or retire to a nearby lounge to spend time with one another and/or their families.
