Eating Disorders Programs North York General Hospital offers an Eating Disorders Program for adolescents aged 12-18, and a program for adults aged 19 and older. Adult Eating Disorders This program is part of a collaborative initiative with the Toronto General Hospital's (TGH) Eating Disorders Program, part of the University Health Network. North York General Hospital offers a partial hospitalization program for patients with diagnosed anorexia and bulimia nervosa. The program operates three evenings per week from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). In addition, group-based aftercare is offered to patients who have completed our partial hospitalization program. Adolescent Eating Disorders Program In this program at the General site, a team of professionals offers comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents aged 12-18 years old with an eating disorder on an outpatient basis or in our day hospital. The day hospital supports children and teens with eating disorders who no longer need 24-hour supervision but require a structured program. It runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. six days per week and includes medical, nutrition, and mental health care as well as an academic program staffed by a Toronto Catholic District School Board teacher.
