Orthopaedic and Plastics Centre

With more than 14,000 patient visits annually, the
Gulshan & Pyarali G. Nanji Orthopaedic and Plastics Centre
is our hospital's second busiest area, after Emergency. The centre at the General Site serves people of all ages — most children, teens and adults come in through our Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency. The centre's goal is to help patients return to an active life as quickly as possible.

The Gulshan & Pyarali G. Nanji Orthopaedic and Plastics Centre officially opened on November 28, 2006. This state-of-the art facility is five times the size of the previous space.and features:
• Four separate treatment rooms, including a paediatric room
• Separate plastic and casting area
• An assessment area for patients receiving physiotherapy
• Dedicated waiting area

Common services provided by the orthopaedic component of the centre are: assessing and treating broken bones and fractures; putting on and removing casts and splints; removing stitches and providing follow-up care for fractures and joint replacements (hip and knee). Physician referral form

The plastics component of the centre involves reconstructive or plastic surgery on bone, skin, arteries, nerves and muscles. We provide assessment, treatment and follow-up for a variety of injuries like burns, wounds related to an injury, accident, ulcers on the body, and hand injuries (where staff work in collaboration with occupational and physical therapists).

The new, much larger centre will provide patients with care in a more efficient, private, comfortable and attractive environment. To reach the centre call 416) 756-6970.
