I have been talking about the development of our new strategic plan in my weekly updates. I am pleased to share that we are now kicking off the next steps in the engagement process.
Creating a strategic plan is a crucial step in helping imagine our future and how we can serve our communities and support all those who work, study and volunteer here.
We want to hear from staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, families, members of the community, health care partners, local leaders and businesses, to chart the hospital's course for the next several years.
Your voice will help shape how we deliver care and services to patients and families. We want NYGH to continue to be one of the best community academic hospitals in Canada.
Our goal is to capture as much of your insights as possible through the following activities.
Hospital-wide online survey (June 4-30).
Face-to-face consultation sessions (leveraging existing meetings throughout the month of June)
Engagement stations (Teaching and Learning Week – June 5, NYGH Annual BBQs – June 25 & 26)
Comment boxes available in units and programs areas (rotating throughout the month of June)
Consultation sessions with political representatives, community groups, health system partners
Community-wide telephone town hall
During the engagement process our commitment is to: listen and learn, facilitate two-way communication and provide regular updates.
