For some fluoroscopic procedures, you may require blood tests one week before your procedure to ensure it’s safe to conduct the procedure.
A technologist will help position you in front of a camera. It is important that you remain still, to ensure the images taken are as clear as possible.
A radiologist will be present while the images are taken.
The images will be reviewed by radiologists for any abnormalities.
Please keep in mind the technologist cannot give you the results when your procedure is finished. Your doctor will reach out when your results are ready, usually within five to seven business days.
Generally, you can resume normal activities and diet immediately. Should changes be required after your exam, a healthcare provider will notify you prior to your discharge
Your report can also be accessed through MyChart and PocketHealth two to three weeks after your test.
