Newly renovated Baruch/Weisz Outpatient Care Clinic now open

On June 20, the newly renovated Baruch/Weisz Outpatient Care Clinic opened its doors to patients. The outpatient care clinic includes the:

  • Medical Surgical Clinic

  • Acute Care Surgery Clinic

  • Wound Care Clinic

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinic

  • Geriatric Clinic

Located on the ground floor, the Baruch/Weisz Outpatient Care Clinic features state-of-the-art equipment and a waiting room that has tall glass windows and a calming blue skylight to bring natural light. The clinic was designed to give patients privacy, comfort and improved access to services.

The renovations of the clinic were made possible thanks to the generous donations of the Baruch and Weisz families. “It has been our families' experience that North York General Hospital has an incredible multi-disciplinary approach to health care that is focused on the patient,” says Ron Baruch, Chair of the Foundation Board of Governors.“ This new Outpatient Care Clinic encapsulates that team approach towards patient- and family-centred care and will have an immediate impact on patients. By removing the strain on the ED and minimizing overnight hospital stays, this new clinic will help patients receive timely and comprehensive care that North York General exemplifies."

The new Baruch/Weisz Outpatient Care Clinic helps accommodate the growing needs of our community while increasing quality of care by adding additional staff to improve patient flow. By mid-July the Stroke Prevention Clinic and Day Medicine will move to the new space as well.
