Thank you for your kindness

Over the past five months, our world has been turned upside down. But, this hasn’t stopped our community from stepping up and showing their support. In fact, these difficult times have brought out the best in people. From large businesses to small groups of dedicated individuals, the North York community and beyond has kept North York General Hospital (NYGH) staff, physicians, learners and volunteers in good spirits while we continue to provide safe and exceptional patient and resident care.

From donations of delicious meals and treats, to health care supplies including masks and visors, to tremendous words of encouragement, nothing has gone unnoticed. The support given to the NYGH team throughout COVID-19 has been an incredible source of inspiration during our people's toughest days.

In response, NYGH is sending a heartfelt thank you right back to all of you.

A short video compilation shows a few of the donations the hospital has received during the pandemic and is a small token of appreciation for everything you have done. Due to the sheer volume, we are missing some, but please know we are extremely thankful for your generosity.

North York General has always known how fantastic its community is, and have been shown time and time again over the last 50 plus years. And, it’s extremely heartwarming to see how COVID has amplified community support. Our entire team, from environmental services, lab technicians, respiratory therapists, dieticians, nurses, physicians, and everyone in between, is being recognized and applauded each and every day.
