Updated Visitor Policy and precautions for entering the hospital 

Please do not visit if you are sick. North York General is limiting visitors and enhancing screening measures for everyone entering the General site and Seniors’ Health Centre to protect the health and safety of staff and patients against COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses.  Read the full policy.

Patient and visitor single point of entry general site: south lobby entrance

As of Tuesday, March 17, patients and visitors will enter the General site using only the South lobby entrance. There will be a single exit through the doors at the West entrance. 

Everyone’s cooperation is appreciated and will contribute to keeping NYGH safe for those who work, study and receive care here. 

Active screening for patients and visitors

Patients and visitors will be actively screened for COVID-19 related symptoms, contact history and travel at the entrance to the South lobby.
