Bianca Petrut completed her Internal Medicine residency and Geriatric Medicine residency at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. During her training in Toronto, she received the Canadian Geriatric Medicine Resident leadership award alongside the geriatric resident award for excellence in postgraduate Medical teaching and CANMEDS roles. As a practicing physician at NYGH with deep passion for teaching, Bianca Petrut has received the Martin Wolfish award for the teaching of postgraduate trainees twice, and has also received an award for Excellence in the Specialty Teaching of Family Medicine residents. She is also the current division head and education lead for geriatrics at NYGH, and likewise the physician representative for NYGH at the Regional Geriatric Program in Toronto.
