I completed my medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, followed by two years of research at Washington University in St. Louis in the United States. I subsequently completed my residency training at Columbia University in New York and then pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. During my fellowship, my research focused on lipodystrophy and severe forms of insulin resistance, and I have published papers in this field.
Since 2013, I have been a staff endocrinologist at North York General Hospital, where I currently serve as the Chief of the Division of Endocrinology.
