COVID Testing

As of December 31, the Ontario Government has made changes to who is eligible for a COVID-19 test  (see the news release).

You can book a COVID-19 PCR test if you are a high-risk individual who is symptomatic and/or who is at risk of severe illness from COVID-19. This includes workers and residents in the highest risk settings, as well as vulnerable populations.

People with mild symptoms are asked not to seek testing.

See below for a full list of who is eligible for a COVID-19 PCR Test.

North York Cough, Cold and COVID Test Clinic

Please note that the North York Cough, Cold and COVID Test Clinic will be closed until Thursday, January 20. Those with booked appointments for these days will be contacted by the Clinic to reschedule your appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

The North York Cough, Cold and COVID Test Clinic provides assessment and testing for eligible people for COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses only.

In accordance with Ontario’s updated COVID-19 PCR testing criteria, as of December 31 the North York Cough, Cold and COVID Test Clinic will only provide COVID-19 testing to eligible groups (see above eligibility). People with mild symptoms are asked not to seek testing. If you already have a confirmed appointment but no longer meet the criteria, the clinic will still honour your prior appointment.
