As the majority of hospital care in Canada is provided in community hospitals, North York General is uniquely positioned to teach new and better ways to meet the growing needs of our communities. Affiliated with the University of Toronto, the hospital's strong teaching role is supported by many academic links. North York General prepares future physicians, nurses, other health care professionals and administrative and operational personnel to work as part of an interprofessional team that provides essential care in the community.
