On December 10, Toronto Paramedic Services awarded both Andrea Ennis, Clinical Team Manager, Emergency Services and the entire North York General Hospital (NYGH) Emergency Department (ED) with Toronto Paramedic Allied Services Awards. Andrea’s award recognized her numerable contributions and dedication to patient care. The ED was recognized for its seamless patient transitions and off-load times, which means the time paramedics arrive in the ED and then offloaded from the stretcher to the hospital team.
“Andrea has demonstrated time and time again that she is not only a leader, but a skilled and compassionate health care professional who gives her all to patient care,” says Marisa Vaglica, Director, Emergency Services and Interprofessional Practice, Research and Education. “And the ED’s commitment to delivering safe and efficient care, working together as a team to move patients quickly into the hospital, freeing paramedics to tend to the next urgent case, is truly inspiring. Both awards are well deserved.”
