The Adolescent Medicine clinic, located at Phillips House, offers consultation for a variety of adolescent health conditions focusing on supporting the unique physical, emotional and developmental needs of youth aged 12-18 years old. The clinic aims to provide confidential, non judgmental and comprehensive care in a safe and inclusive space to ultimately empower youth to achieve the best possible health.

The clinic offers consultation for issues related to:

Group of teens
  • Reproductive or sexual health concerns (i.e. menstrual irregularities, dysmenorrhea, contraceptive counselling)
  • Minor mood/anxiety disorders*
  • Growth and development
  • Support with chronic illness
  • Obesity
  • Gender identity **

Referring Professionals:

If there are concerns for an eating disorder a patient should be referred to the Eating Disorder Program at NYGH 

If there are concerns for moderate to severe mood disorder or persistent school absenteeism, please refer to NYGH Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program (CAMHOP)
