Adolescent Medicine Clinic
The Adolescent Medicine Clinic offers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of health concerns for youth aged 12-18, addressing their needs within the framework of their biological, psychological and social development.
Referrals will be accepted if the patient meets the following criteria:
- Adolescents aged 12-18 years
- Menstrual disorders (heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular menses, painful menses)
- Sexual health (i.e. contraception)
- Growth and development concerns (including obesity)
- Mild mood disorders
- Medical consultation for adolescent specific health concerns (i.e. acne, abdominal pain, headache, etc.)
- Supportive counsel for teens with chronic illness
Please note this clinic is located at Phillips House.

Referring Professionals:
If there are concerns for an eating disorder a patient should be referred to the Eating Disorder Program at NYGH
If there are concerns for moderate to severe mood disorder or persistent school absenteeism, please refer to NYGH Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program (CAMHOP)
