Midwifery Care Clinic

The North York General Hospital Midwifery Care Clinic provides comprehensive outpatient (non-hospital stay) services to patients, newborns and families during pregnancy and in the days and weeks following childbirth. The clinic is staffed by midwives and provides a variety of clinical care services including:

  • Prenatal consultation
  • Maternal post-partum wellness checks for issues including pain management, wound care/ bleeding and breastfeeding support
  • Newborn wellness checks
  • Newborn feeding consultations
  • Newborn jaundice follow-ups (up to 14 days of life)

The NYGH Midwifery Care Clinic is located in the General site campus at 4001 Leslie St. in 2S, Room 215 (in the same room as the Newborn Follow Up Clinic and high-risk Neonatal Follow Up Clinic).

Update: Hours of operation are from Sunday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Following the submission of the online request form, you will be contacted by a member of the Midwifery Care Clinic to confirm your appointment time.

NOTE: The NYGH Midwifery Care Clinic is not a walk-in clinic and walk-in patients will not be accepted.
