The Centre for Education’s vision is to improve health care through scholarly and innovative education. It advances health professional education by supporting and enhancing the student and teacher experience and fostering education scholarship among students, staff and physicians. The centre engages in, and fosters, partnerships within and outside the hospital.
Evaluations are an integral part of the student’s experience. Each faculty or profession has their own evaluation forms and methods. Please inquire with your academic institution’s placement coordinator or your profession’s Professional Practice Leader/Student Placement Coordinator at North York General Hospital for further information.
ed, or North York General Hospital’s Education Development Fund, provides access to scholarship awards (support for participation in Master’s, doctoral, and other longitudinal programs), professional development funds (support attendance for conferences, courses and workshops), and knowledge dissemination funds (support for presentations at conferences or other venues).
Once applications are completed and submitted, they are then adjudicated by a hospital-wide committee three times a year.
